On January 12th, 2013 the Liland Insurance Inc. family commemorated the 2012 campaign, reflect on the company’s achievements and celebrated the success of it’s premier agents.
This year’s black & white themed celebration marked Liland’s 20th year as a leading life insurance agency in Canada. It’s been a fantastic 20 years, and as an organization we’re extremely excited about things to come.
The evening was packed with entertainment, awards and speeches from several of Liland’s key strategic partners over the years.
As has been our tradition for the past 20 years, Liland awarded it’s Top Gun Award. For the first time in the last two decades the Top Gun and Top Gun Runner-up were awarded to two female advisors.
This year’s Top-Gun recipient was none other than Venia Gabison. Venia’s tireless work ethic is second to none. Our 2011 runner-up demonstrated yet again in her latest campaign how tenacity and the love for doing the right thing for her clients can lead to amazing results.
Our Top Gun runner-up was Nannette Britanico, CLU, CHS who was also our Investment Advisor of the year in 2011.
We’re extremely proud of each of these individuals and are honoured to have them hold themselves out as members of the Liland team.
This year’s Investment Award went to Dennis Balingit, the runner-up was Emmanuel Marianesan, CHS. Our Rookie-of-the-Year award went to Emerson Munsayac.
Prior to the dance floor being opened Paul Grimes, Senior Vice President of Industrial-Alliance and our President Roland S. Chan addressed the audience. Both touched on fond memories on Liland’s humble beginnings. Particularly moving was Roland’s reflection on the path that took him, and ultimately the entire Liland team, on this journey. He closed with some exciting words about the journey ahead.
The Liland Awards Gala was held at Spirale Banquet Hall in Toronto and hosted nearly 200 people.
